Woodworking

Oh how I love the girls' teacher this year, Ms. Jeanne.  She has been a preschool teacher for over 20 years and she does some amazing things with the kids, one of the most recent being woodworking.  The girls brought home their masterpieces and were so excited to show them to us.  Ms. Jeanne worked one on one with each child to help them create, saw, glue, & paint their handiwork.  Reese chose to make a butterfly and Ryan made a castle.  I love that in a classroom of 17 kids they each had a different, unique piece.

You knew I was going to do it

I wasn't kidding about my Pinterest obsession.  We've done some really fun crafts this week and this one was the favorite for the kids.

It started off a bit slow and we were all waiting to see how they were going to melt.  The girls were so excited!
My arms got tired pretty quickly.  You can tell from my crazy wavy hair that I'm not used to holding a blowdryer for long periods of time these days.  Cory took over and the fun really started.
It was so fun to see all the colors melt and blend together.  We glued a rainbow ribbon to the back and it's going in the hallway where the rest of Reese's rainbow drawings reside.
