Love & Respect

Cory and I started a 12 week marriage class at our church today. I feel like it's so important to constantly work on our relationship. Sometimes I forget that we're really still newlyweds. We got thrown right into parenthood after marriage and it's been the most amazing experience of our lives, but it's so important to focus on our marriage and make it a priority. The class is about love and respect in your marriage and how wife and husband need both, but men primarily crave respect and women crave love. If men get respect they'll give love, and if women get love they'll give respect. I think it's going to be a wonderful class for us.

Ephesians 5:33
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

That's awesome, Lisa! It sounds like a great class. What church are you going to nowadays?

I'm so proud of you and Cory, Lisa! I am in awe of your parenting and I'm glad you realize it's important to work on your marriage during all of this, too. I love you!

Me again, Lisa. It actually worked out great for me to stay with the girls while you went to that class. I was able to come home and still get ready for our 10:30 church service.

Soooo, Sunday mornings for the next few weeks will be 'Breakfast with Mimi."

We've been going to Cornerstone. It's right down the street from our house and we really like it.
