Who knew...
the pet store could be such a fun outing? Cory is SO sick, so I took R&R w/ me to buy dog food at PETCO and it was a non-stop adventure. We walked through the doors and right away they were so excited because they have little pint-size grocery carts for kids to push around. They took their carts and ran right over to the Cockatoos. There was one fat bird and one skinny bird. Ryan kept saying "The big cockatoo is HUNGRY!" After that, we ran to look at the fishes and Ryan was so excited to find Nemo. Next, we found the chinchillas, ferrets, mice, guinea pigs, and bunnies. Reese yelled out, "Look at the big bunnies, Mommy". They were so thrilled about everything and screaming about all the animals. Thank goodness we were the only ones in the entire store. Seems like I need to take our girls on errand runs more often. There is so much fun to be had in the day to day chores :0)

Ok. I think you've officially lost it. Either that or you have extremely well behaved kids. I tried that mini-shopping cart with my ONE five-year-old at Trader Joe's and it was a complete nightmare. She knocked over wine, ran over an old lady's ankles and ended up stealing a bag of organic chocolate chip cookies.
We've got some practicing to do before I venture out with the twins to a pet store. We'd probably leave with another animal.

I think I might be a bit crazy, but it worked out OK this time. I must say that I never take them out to run errands, so it's no wonder they were SO excited. Also, I almost had a lapse in judgment and was going to buy a fish. I quickly came to my senses after I envisioned it dying in a matter of days and flushing it down the toilet.
Don't forget our adventure last Saturday at Tuesday Morning when Ryan kept saying, "No thank you!," when you wanted to change her dirty diaper. And THEN how Ree mysteriously made it out of the store with a stuffed animal.
Every outing is a fun adventure. I'll sign up for the next Petco field trip!
